On August 17th, Canada’s Express Entry program held its fourth all-program draw of 2022. In our latest post, we look at what that might mean.

The August 17th draw
Candidates from all Express Entry programs (Federal Skilled Worker, Canadian Experience Class, Federal Skilled Trades and Provincial Nominee Program) were eligible for this round of invitations. This is the fourth time there has been an all-program draw in 2022.
The number of invitations for this Express Entry draw went up again compared to the 2,000 invitations on August 3rd, 2022.
Comparison of the latest all-program draws
Date | 23-Dec-20 | 06-Jul-22 | 20-Jul-22 | 03-Aug-22 | 17-Aug-22 |
ITA’s | 5,000 | 1,500 | 1,750 | 2,000 | 2,250 |
CRS cut-off score | 468 | 557 | 542 | 533 | 525 |
The cut-off score was still high due to the accumulation of qualified candidates during the pause of all-program draws. However, it went down 8 points from August 3rd.
We are seeing a trend of increased invitations and lower cut-off scores. However, the numbers are slowly creeping up but by a margin of only 250 invitations each time.
Points are now at 525 which is still incredibly high, and the cut-off date for this draw was December 28th, 2021. This means that anyone with 525 points that created a profile on December 29th, 2021 or after will not have received an Invitation.
Recent statistics show that only about 20% of those invited in these all-program draws are Federal Skilled Workers, with the majority of Invitations still being issued to Provincial Nominees. Numbers of Invitations for those eligible under the Canadian Experience Class fall in between these two categories.

How can I get my points up?
We will be covering some general ways you can raise your CRS point score in a subsequent blog post.
